NO DOUBT Bootlegs
Courtesy of The No Doubt Int. Fan Club
These are illegally made CDs and thus are illegal to sell, however you can find them in used record shops if you look hard enough. The argument is that the record companies and artists are ripped off by the sale of such material because bootlegs make outrageous money for the people who make and sell them. The trading of bootlegs is a general practice amongst fans, and is usually viewed as a harmless act unless money is charged.

Credits:This is a bootleg CD. This was released by a company called Rising Sun. Tracks 1-10 are a collection of various live No Doubt performances, with tracks 6-9 coming from a live performance in Europe sometime in early 2001 (right before the release of Return of Saturn). Tracks 11-18 are from several live shows dating as far back as 1992/1993. Some of these songs are strictly from early live shows, various other bootlegs (like Beacon Street Bimbo), No Doubt import singles, and the MTV's Millennium Bash.

Quality: Very good qulity, clips from various unplugged session including the Fan Conference & New Years Eve 2000.

Credits:All songs recorded live directly from the Soundboard at the following locations: Berkeley Community Center; San Jose Events Center; Los Angeles Universal Ampitheatre.

Quality: Ranges between the three performances. The first two are excellent, the last is good. The last, even though credited as a soundboard recording, is taped from the audience. "Excuse Me Mr." is listed on the sleeve as being on the disc three times, however it is only there twice. The tracks were taken from the following performances: (1) Universal Ampitheater - December 17, 1995; (2) Berkeley Community Theater - December 15, 1995; (3) San Jose State University Events Center - December 16, 1995. All shows are complete except (2), which is missing the Star Wars intro and "Excuse Me Mr.". For some reason the bootlegger replaced the beginning of this show with the end of (1)'s show. The cover does not list what show each track is from, so I listed that here.

Comment:This bootleg was released with two different covers. The names of the songs are not correct, I just typed them straight off from the record sleeve. The correct names can be found on the above KROQ'96 bootleg since it have the same content! Another funny thing about this is that they warmed up for no other than the rock band Kiss. This was also Kiss first live appearance with full make-up an original line-up since 1979.. In between the songs makes a comment about Kiss: "-If you need any inspiration at all for your jumping, just peep back there and have a look at those guys(refering to Kiss), those 4 devil creatures!".

Very good recording from the original television broadcast. The original television broadcast was in stereo, but unfortunately this version is in mono. The tracks are split badly which coincides with the track listing on the back of the CD cover. A far superior stereo version of this show can be found on the bootleg Ska-face without the following four tracks.

Notes:
Not a bad bootleg, but plaged by obvious problems like the packaging (essentially pictures from all other bootlegs), mislabeling and sound quality that could be better. Also, "Just A Girl" is listed on the cover as being the last track; however it is not on the CD.

None on the CD or cover, just a list of band members.

Quality:
Excellent soundwise, but it is just a resequenced version of LiveFrom The Pit. The CD was mastered from parts of a promo disc because it makes the same errors in titles that the cue sheet did. The first three tracks are from the On Tour promo disc, the live dub mix of "Excuse Me Mr." is simply the same version as Live From The Pit. Not a bad addition to a collection, but would be worth it to hunt down the original promo discs for these broadcasts.

Excellent sound (tracks 1-10) from television broadcast, the last three tracks are audience recordings. Sadly, this isn't the complete show. "Total Hate" and "Pawn Shop" have been cut out, and for some reason the last three tracks are audience recordings (the full show was broadcast on television in the UK). This CD was also released as HAPPY, with the three audience tracks replaced by "Spiderwebs" live on the David Letterman show.

The quality of this CD Bootleg is not too good. Only reccomended for true die-hard fans. It's obvious that this recording was made by some fan using a normal audio recorder. Although, the quality not seems to be too good during the first couple of songs it tends to be better further on. There are rumours that this bootleg came in a VERY limited edition of 100 copies, so if you got your self a copy you can be lucky! .
