A review of the movie Go!:
A memory by: Patrick Larsen, zzap@hotmail.com
This is quite a funny story that I would like to share with you. I have many wonderful memories of the band No Doubt and Gwen Stefani in particular, but this one may be the weirdest so far. The story turned out well, because Gwen finally got my letter to her.

I got to know the band No Doubt during their third european tour 1997, and hung out with them a lot all across Europe. I went to see them in the U.K., Norway, Finland and a couple of more countries. And on October 10th 1997 it was about time to say goodbye for this time. It felt kinda sad, and Gwen looked at me and said: -You are crazy! I can't believe your travelling all over Europe just to see us. Then I replied, -Yeah, I guess I am. But you know what, I am actually flying over to South America to see you on your last tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina. And she said: -Yeah? I said yeah, and we arranged everything and I got put on the guest list for that show. Gwen was very tired this night at the hotel Intercontinental in Helsinki, Finland and went early to sleep. I gave her a hug and said bye, and that we would meet again in South America.

Time went by, and soon I realised that I wouldn't be able to go there. This was like one week before the show was going to take place! So I wondered how to get in touch with her to tell that I wasn't coming. Should I maybe call their hotel? I had no idea where they stayed at, or should I send a fax or telegram to the arena?? I finally got around writing a letter to Gwen and addressed it to her dressing room(!!) at the stadium in Buenos Aires.. But I guess it arrived to late, and a couple of weeks later it got returned in mail. I was happy because I thought it was Gwen who had written back.. but no. It was just my letter :(

Anyway, I kept this letter. And it kinda bugged me that she never got a chanse to read it. Anyway, the story continues. And 1997 turned into 1998, and during the first month of this year I founded the No Doubt Int. Fan Club. But that's a long story, so I will try to stick to the subject. Anyway, this year in March (1999) I went to Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley to meet up with the band in the studio for an interview. So I brough the letter with me!!! And finally, I got to tell the story about this letter how it got returned and everything. I gave it to her, and she read it. Looked at me, smiled and I took a picture of her!

Ghee, was that a funny story or what???!!!
