News from NO DOUBT
April 17th, 2003 from Gwen Stefani

Hey everyone, Gwen Here...
Hey everyone, Gwen here. Tom, Tony and Adrian will be checking in here soon but I wanted to drop you a little note to let you know what I am up to.

The last 18 months were so incredible. After having done the songs with Moby and Eve we recorded the "Rock Steady" record all over the world with so many amazing people. Then, after the MTV Awards (and 9/11) we were lucky enough to go on tour with U2. The next twelve months was a blur for me with so many amazing first time experiences finishing with us getting to play "Message in a Bottle" with Sting at the Super Bowl and then performing at the Grammys where we actually won an award! Oh yeah, did I tell you I got married?? Married life is bliss, by the way.

After all that I figured I would just chill in London with my husband but interesting things keep popping up. I have been working super hard on my L.A.M.B. clothing line. I think you will start to hear more about it and see it soon. It has been a total blast and a lot of work but it has also been a real cool creative outlet. I have also looked at some scripts and, although I really haven't made a decision yet, if the right part were to come along I think I would try working in film. I have always had a real love for making videos and the filmmaking No Doubt did. Who knows? I think it might be another challenging place to express myself creatively.

I have also been collaborating on some tracks on my own with different people. I am not quite sure if it will become a full-blown solo project, singles for a soundtrack or just songs (like with Moby and Eve). I am just kind of letting it take me where it takes me and see what happens. It is all part of a process for me, sort of an extension of the challenge No Doubt gave ourselves on "Rock Steady." I want to explore all of this during the No Doubt hiatus. We'll see where it takes me!

Thanks again for all your support over the past 16 years and specifically during the whole "Rock Steady" record. As a band we have never had more fun and enjoyed our fans more than during that record. You guys were all great!

Love,
Gwen

5th Anniversary From News From No Doubt
Today, 5 year ago was the first time that No Doubt started sharing their latest developments with fans on regular basis.

As fan (I, the webmaster), started collecting all the postings from No Doubt through several years. Last year, made Tom Dumont a compliment to me for all the time that I spend to archive those posts.

This was Tom Dumont`s reaction :

See here the first post ever :

Welcome to the new Official No Doubt Web site! First of All, some very cool things here are still under construction. If you continue to check in during the next few weeks, I promise you`ll be pleased. We`ll be adding a ton of new merchandise. We finally have a FAQ page. The Tour History , which lists every No Doubt show ever played, has updated. I`ve learned enough html to update this info page myself with various bits of news about what we`re up to, and my changes here will be frequent. My favorite new page here is the Photo Journal. This contains our own personal photographs of what we`re up to, with clever captions to explain the context. You`ll be able to get a visial look at the process of creating the next No Doubt CD as we do it. We`ll try to update the photos once every two weeks or so Also if we don`t provide enough content here, there are hundreds of fan websites to dicover at the links page. "The Doghouse" and "No Doubt Video Image Gallery" are incredible sites that I Highly recommend to any N.D. fan. If you have a relevant site, please join our link exchange.

No Doubt is coming to Hawaii ! Friday May 1 we play at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului, Maui with the Vandals. And on Saturday May 2 we play at the Turtle Bay Hilton in Oahu with the Vandals and Madness (that`s right, Madness, with all orginal members!). For more detailed info, check out the Goldenvoice website.

Next week a log time dream of ours will coming true. We`re going to record a song that Elvis Costello has written for us. He`ll be coming to LA to produce the song with us and it should turn up on a film soundtrack in few months.
