It appears that Gwen Stefani has braces now. I did not know that!!

No Doubt Spain Fan club have published their second fanzine, the first was published at the begining of '97. This new fanzine has a total of 20 pages and includes an interesting review of ND show in "Palau d'esports" Barcelona, Spain 4th october '97. A full pictured discography, a photo "collage" and a ND time line. The cover and back cover are in color and the other pages in BW. Of course, all the content is in Spanish. The Universal Music Spain has distributed abot 2.500 fanzines with the spanish music net stores "Tipo" and about 1.500 fanzines have been sent directly to the spanish fans.

No Doubt is on the cover of MUSIC CONNECTION. there are some nice pictures [none of them are new to me.. but they are nice.] and its the Vol. XXIV No. 11 5/22/00 - 6/4/00 edition. its 2.95 in the u.s.a and 3.95 in canada. there is a boring article inside but its still nice to get mags of ND on the cover.

I was passing by a bookstore in the airport and i just so happened to see Gwen's hot pink hair on a magizine cover june/july issue of "jump" andi quickly ran over and i bought it and read it over and its just soo great!

Come on lazy people. Theres 80 thousand No Doubter's that visit this site a week and some how theres only 1,000 votes for No Doubt at the Circus Magazine Poll. So stop being lazy and go to CircusMagazine.Com and vote. Also, go buy as many "Return of Saturn" CD's as you can because its at #24 in the Billboard Charts and thats bad.

No Doubt was #9 at Virgin Record's Top 20 and the Calgary Sun gave a really good review of ROS, they gave it four stars.

Rolling Stone has an article about upcomming summer tours (this is the issue with Tom Green on the cover), a small No Doubt article and live picture can be found on page 42.
On page 48 under the "who are you listining to?" section there is a pic of Tony and a quote about what he is listening to.
Also in the charts section no doubt is number 7 on the Billboard top 50 albums, and Ex-Girlfriend is number 9 on the Australian singles chart.

I was walking down the main street in my town of Springfield Vermont and Isaw GWEN STEFANI !!! It was so cool that I actually saw her. I didn't say anyhting cause she was trying to hide herself. It was very neat. Ihope she comes to Vermont again.

There was a really good review of "Return of Saturn" in the recent issue of Pitch Weekly (a mostly entertainment publication) in Kansas City.

No doubt will be live on Italian MTV next week. The show was recorded in April in Munchen. It's MTV LIVE performance. They broadcasted it yesterday and they'll do another time this week..

Well, today (14/05) TMF belgium played the videoclip of simple kind of life!!!

Gwen is on the cover of Nylon magazine July 2000, she looks amazing!! shes wearing a white shirt with the american flag on it and her hair is in pigtails.

Today in the European MTV program called MTV news weekend edition there was a short portion of it dealing with the teenagers new sounds :Britney Spears,Christina Aguillera ,Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore and i noticed that in the background for the music of this subject they took a song by No Doubt :Just a girl.

There's a brazilian mag with a great exclusive interview with No Doubt, and in the end of the mag they say about their new album

I live in toronto and my sighting was an 'in person' sighting when i met them on monday, february 14th. i met the whole band and asked gwen what the artwork and photos are gonna be like on the new album, to which she replied 'some things will have to stay secret...we want it to be a surprise!' but i do know that she didn't have her braces on for it. as well she said that the braces will have to go back on cause her teeth are not quite perfect yet! she also got really excited when a fan gave her a collage they had made of pics of gwen with gavin. she looked at it and said "wow, it's me with my boyfriend! i feel so bad, but i want to keep this." so the fan gladly gave it to her. i guess that means that they are still an item...

my other sighting was a magazine sighting. there's a small pic of gwen and gavin in the latest issue of cosmopolitan. i forget which page it's on.

On a Vancouver radio station, 104.9 FM, the dj said, "Gwen's not listening so i'll say it. Gwen Stefani. She makes me feel funny in my pants."

Simple Kind of Life - is on the channel TMF since yesterday. On 9 May 2000 on 19:50 (Dutch time) the new videoclip - Simple Kind of Life` is released.

`TMF Dag Top 5` 19:00 to 20:00 - dutch time Yesterday (9 May) was `Simple Kind of Life` clipprimeur on TMF.

They showed the clip on something for Eight O`clock. It`s a beautiful videoclip. Very Heavy and at the same time Sweet and touchable. The clip has many beautiful shots on Gwen. Also the clip has an nice story. Tony, Adrian and Tom has as girlfriend Gwen. So Gwen most vote for 1 of the guy`s. Each member has a shot with Gwen, like this :
Gwen and Tony - Gwen and Tom - Gwen and Adrian. Like Don`t Speak with TK has this clip too, a lot of Promo things of `Return of Saturn`. On the end of the videoclip Gwen standing with a child see found in her hands. The Child has anyway a bindi. Then the guy`s showup on every site. Then Gwen see`s a light and a lot of other people. She`s go`s away ansd give the child to the mother. Gwen walks on and came in a truck where`s see gona just makeup on.

In the may 25th issue of Rolling Stone, there is a pic of No Doubt talking about their NY show & Saturday Night Live. There is also another pic of Gwen & a little artical about some of her favorite things.

There is a ND article in the May 12, 2000 issue of Entertainment Weekly. Great pics. There is also a pic of the band in the new Rolling Stone with Britney Spears on the cover. The bands talks about their show at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC on 4/6/00.

There was a small article and picture in the local news paper, The Idaho Statesman, 'NO DOUBT TO PLAY SANDY POINT IN JULY' "Get ready to sweat! Ska-rock outfit No Doubt will headline an outdoor concert July 18th at Sandy Point beach. The fun lovin' California group has sacrificed ska for more of an '80s pop sound on its latest CD, "Return of Saturn," but you can bet singer Gwen Stefani will get things poppin' in a live setting." then it goes on to say who else is on the bill and tickets prices etc. Anyway, this is a very big deal, ND hasn't played in Boise since Bush came through in 96'.

May 6th, on Saturday Night Live w/ host John Goodman there was a MTV wanna be a VJ 3 spoof, & there was a fake interview w/ Gwen Stefani. It wasn't actually her, one of the cast members played her. They had the pink flipped hair & talked about Gwen's braces. They were sort of making fun of her, but it's more like a compliment to be spoofed on SNL, they're recognizing your popularity. If anyone missed it, the show will air again sometime in the summer.

On Saturday Night Live they had a Gwen parody played by Molly Shannon. It was like this Wanna be a VJ 3 thing. I didn't really think it was that funny though because they had her acting like Britney Spears and I think we all know Gwen is cool and doesn't act like that. I thank you for your time.

I was flipping through the tv last week and Donnie and Marie caught my eye. N Sync was on. The question of "dream date" came up. Chris relunctly admitted Gwen was his dream date "She'd be a fun rock star to hang out with", he said. He was actually egged on by the rest of the group but he seemed honest. Just a little tid bit I thought I should pass on.

This is a sighting from a brazilian newspaper. it goes like this: "Return of Saturn", No Doubt. No Doubt started like a SKA band, but now it's a machine of making pop songs. But everything is very good, and the singer Gwen Stefani is very cute. The new CD has some beautiful ballad songs, but the fast ones are better. Don't fell afraid to buy it! =)

On TMF they had on every Sunday a Weekoverzicht from the `Factory Facts`. Well the most important News from last week was the `TMF Showcase`. They showed a part of `Spiderwebs`.

Hey all you Canadian Nodoubters! There is a Toronto magazine called Watch which has an article about their new album, photos, and some other cool stuff. Get a hold of it fast because it's the April issue, so I don't know how long it will be around. I think you can find it in most music stores. Oh yeah, did I mention that it is free!!

On the front page of the calender section is a live picture of Gwen at the Universal Amphitheatre. Inside is a live picture of Gwen and Tony. Also there is a typo they wrote "Tim Dumont" where everybody knows its Tom Dumont.

You can vote for who has "Better Sound," "More Exciting Style," "Cooler Videos," "Fiercer Front Woman," and "Better Overall Band." As of May 4th Shirley was beating Gwen for "Fiercer Front Woman" but ND is winning the rest.

there is an interview with nodoubt in the may issue of juice magazine- the one with macy gray on the cover.

After a replay of the Behind the Music with No Doubt, VH1, displaying wonderful marketing tactics, aired BTM2 with Bush. Of course No Doubt fans had to tune in, and VH1 delivered the goods. There was about a 5 minute section near the end about the Bush/No Doubt tour in 96/97 and Gwen and Gavin's relationship. Gavin said some really sweet things about Gwen.

This was on Muchmusic's the New Music hour. I will try to have a transcript of the "Return of No Doubt" on Muchmusic by the end of this week.

NO DOUBT ON THE NEW MUSIC

SOOK YIN: Return of Saturn. What was the concept? Sort of an astrological ideas or astronomy something?

GWEN: Yeah. It's basically um..they say, through Saturn returns which is like this whole idea that Saturn takes 29 years to circle the sun. So from the time you're born to the time it returns 29 years later, it's supposed to be like this period of growth and kind of like um..get rid of the whole new, back from moving on and growing. There's like kind of big life decisions made. We definitely went back and listened to our CDs and said wow! How'd they do it? How'd they make it? How did music make me feel so good you know? So um. . . and also their lyrics there was a lot of things I was reading you know. The whole Joni Mitchel collection of her poems and lyrics and Sylvia Plath The Bell Jar and all of her journals up to the Ted Hughs birthday diaries and all that stuff. So there was a lot of stuff being read and influencing us.

TOM: We came out with Tragic Kingdom, um. . .you know, really energized in a way and we decided that the only real good way to follow up that record is to try to beat it some way and try to improve as songwriters and bring all the experience from the last number of years into making the record and um, we spent a lot of time. We really pushed ourselves to do it. And at this point, we're really proud of the end result and we're so happy to be here talkin' about it and uh.soon play it live

GWEN: We were just blossoming half way through that album. For me like, it was like when my brother left the band, a lot of the writing responsibilities fell onto our laps. When Tony and I split up, it was like I suddenly had all of these things to write about so.all those songs that ended up being, like, the singles were written in the last half of that album and we were just getting like, starting to get the hand on writing. So after doing that and then going off on tour and like experiencing the world I mean. Traveling just opens your mind so much and you just.. there's all this information so. Coming off of that, um, I think we have a good spot to get creative and start over again to try and see if we can write songs but use all the experience that we had you know? I would be like. . .ok, here's my ex-boyfriend right? So we would be there with these girls that look exactly like me like dressed up like me and then they would all party and I was always sent to my room 'cause my voice. So they'll be all doin' their woo! Partyin' then I would walk in hoping to get a little social, you know, oh I need a little attention socially. (ALL I NEED IS A LITTLE OF YOUR TIME) And then they would run up to me. There would be all these little Gwen girls and then it would be really awkward.

TOM: The funny thing is, these two, (Tony and Gwen. DOI!) they won't tell you but they're like, best friends. So when they're home, they hang out, they shop together and go to the movies. It's a weird..it's a nice relationship because you're so close

TONY: We're more like brother and sister now. And no there's no incest.

GWEN: I like so many different things. I think it's important to just embrace all the things that inspire you and then make them yours because everything's been done you know what I mean? And every song's been written you know what I mean? So we just grab from all the things that we love and then when it comes um. . . you know, when it's in your own hands it suddenly becomes unique.
