No Doubt in the box
There's a music TV in France called MCM.Each day of the week a show called the "JDM" ("le journal de la musique" in french) sum up everything happening in the musical land. Today there was a short iunterview with our favourite ,No Doubt.To tell the truth i saw it twice today so i can share the infos.They started out by remembering the past: All started in 1995,remember this lovely lolita kind'o girl named Gwen!!The group responsible for such hits like" Don't Speak","Just a Girl" and "Sunday Morning".Right after the intro they show excerpts from "Don't Speak" and "Sunday Morning". The group was asked then a few questions .The first one was about to know why such a title: "Return of Saturn".Gwen said in fact it was taken from some lyrics of the song "Artificial Sweetner": "the return of Saturn/ assessing my life/second guessing....." They put an excerpt from the London gig(on 28/2/00 i think). The speaker dealt with the album saying it was an excellent one to purchase with no "Don't Speak number 2".According to the guy it was a good thing. Gwen admited that she didn't understand why this song caught the attention .She added everything written was pure honesty with deep feelings inside of each song.To complete this ,she told them they would n't have done another record without the help of "Don't Speak".It was sort of a last chance No Doubt formed 9 years ago!!! Another short sighting was on telly, on a kid channel called 'Canal J' i was just zapping while i recognized the song "New" from No doubt at the end of a show called "Faut que ça saute!" if my memory remains well.

MOBY will make a single of SOUTHSIDE from the million seller PLAY, which been out form more than a year now.

Yesterday I was listening to the radio in the evening and just as normal Popnews was coming by in the program ISABELLE that soon will celebrate they`re second birthday. It begans with Moby the Popnews. MOBY will make a new single of the album `Play` and it will be called `Southside` (that`s the song were Gwen is guestvocal). Also the videoclip is or will be shoot this week. Gwen will be playing a role as nerd. And Moby as himself. They`re not data`s to release announce but you can visit MOBY.ORG on the web.

Everyone, Gwen is on the cover or the 20th-26th Sept issue of Melody Maker found in WHSmiths here in the UK, there's a 3 pg article and she looks fab. She talks about the SKOL single -and why she dyed her hair pink!!! Then the cheeky reveiwer for the new singles basically said SKOL was crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gwen Stefani guest appeared on a song with Moby, which i believe is gonna be on his new album. Anywayz, they are shooting a video for it this weekend and will be used in a American commercial. And dont forget to go to Vh1.com and make up your own award and the nominee. I have put "best band" "best rock band" best video" and for the winner of course i put No doubt.

Here in Bergen op Zoom they have a radio and tv station called BRTO. Each year they have a stand on the jearmarked in my village. They played live from that yearmarked. I got the request to play Everything`s Wrong out 1988 on a CD I bring it myself to the stand. Well they played a the song. No Doubt - Everything`s Wrong - 1988 Played on BRTO that was live to hear on Radio and the TV Channel. (as background sound). Thanks to BRTO to play that song.

Last Sunday BRTO in Holland played Everything`s Wrong on the radio. They were live at the jearmarked in my hometown. A bought the CD by myself and played the song it on the local radio BRTO. It`s a kind of tradition that they were on the jearmarked and this year I saw my change to play some kind of song. As you all know No Doubt already has there own behind the music, but any way Gwen and Tony are on the Red Hot Chilly Peppers behind the music, you see them talking like twice. Also No Doubt recently were taped on Farm Club about 2 weeks ago, so look for it to air in the next couple weeks, they also should be premiering on TRL, on maybe next week or the week after that!

A friend of mine called Aline send me a cd from the ska metal punk group called Goldfinger. It's a group from Anaheim too; and it's the ep album from 1999 aka Darrin's coconut Ass It's a live cover ep (sting ,the cure ,peter tosh....) and to my surprise it's written at the additional musicians section that Gabe Mc Nair and Phill Jordan played on track 2 and 3 ("is she really going out with me" ,Feel like making love")

Gwen is now being nominated for some sort of VH-1 thing as Sexiest Female Artist. So go now and vote!! (VH1.com) (Gavin is also nominated for sexiest male!!)

Hey everyone...I live in MI and my local radio station called Gwen yesterday and did a live phone interview with her...it was really cool...Gwen was so cute and said some really interesting stuff like she preferes Britney over Christina...I'm not gonna post the entire interview but if ya wanna know what else she said just e-mail me!!

At www.eonline.com under Ted Casablanca's gossip column called "The Awful Truth," I found the following: Gavin Rossdale, the Bush frontman, shopping at the ultrahip Vinyl Fetish in Los Feliz. City of the Fallen Turntables. Relaxed, polite and sans girlfriend Gwen Stefani, the rocker purchased a load of CDs. Yes, even celebs pay for their own records--sometimes. Later note: Gwen and Gav were spotted dining together at Fred 62 up the street, so love is still in the smoggy air. What a rather gorgeous pair, if you'll forgive my beautiful-music musing.

In the october issue of J-14 there is a really nice pinup of no doubt as well as a few little pictures of Gwen. Some of the articles in the magazine bring up gwen also but use her only as a reference to the topic.

The other day I was getting my hair cut and flipping through the HUGE issue of "In Style' with Drew Barrymore on the cover. There's a full page pic of Gwen (an exclusive pic i think too!) and it just talks about how she likes to make out to the first tricky album!....

RETURN OF SATURN is standing now on place 98. Almost out of the Top 100. This is week 21 in the Billboard 200.

In the October 2000 issue of SEVENTEEN there is a picture of gwen performing at the Teen Choice awards and on the Calander, they point out her birthday and have a smaller pic. Did you know Gavin's birthday is October 30? Well, if you go to www.seventeen.com they say you can download something with gwen hanging with Seventeen.

In the October issue of September issue of Teen People which has 98 degrees on the cover there are a couple of pictures of Gwen in it. And in Allure there is a small article and a picture of gwen in it.

I received vouge magazine by mail and it October issue came in a sealed bag with this little magazine"Vouge 100 Best Dressed List" and it has many diffrent women and their own style of dressing. Gwen is one of them and she appears as one of the 100 best dressed, in the category of having her own sense of style and not being afraid to wear what she likes .. along with Lil kim and others.. Ive seen her in quite a few magazines but i cant keep track ill post as soon as i remember

I was listening to the radio and the DJ said Eminem likes No Doubt and Alanis Morisette. AIN'T THAT COOL??? Not much of a sighting but i thought it was interesting...

Last Sunday TMF, plays `Watch That Video`. The new videoclips on TMF. Somewhere in the beginning the played `Papa Roach` new videoclip. Well in that videoclip you can see the `No Doubt Milk poster`. Some where in the Fans rooms you can found it. So the videoclip plays in Europe. What`s for it. (Papa Roach new videoclip)

On sunday sept 10th "Much More Music" will air the nd performance at the experience music project (i think thats what its called) anyway today I saw sunday morning and it said that.

I just write a article about Return of Saturn in the Billboard 200 in Amerika, I continu now with CDNOW. I know that Return of Saturn has reach No. 1 in the CDNOW and not in the Billboard 200. In the Billboard 200 it`s has standed on No.2 . But that`s not the point now. On internet is CDNOW a big compagny that sells records. Well it`s several month back that No Doubt`s Return of Saturn entered the Billboard 200. The entered at place 2 in around the 15th April of 2000. Now almost 5 months later in the 20th week exactly in the list No Doubt RETURN OF SATURN has reaching place 86. That`s one place below that from that week befor (19th week) at place 85. It`s also has a buy`s above the Million Records, MAYBE the reach the 2 Million records across Amerika into the next Months.

On my local radio station star 98.7 fm they were talking to gwen about going to tokyo. they are giving away full piad trip to see them. the contest starts tuesday 9-5-00. also gwen siad they she might change her hair color this week and that they will be shooting the vidoe for "Bathwater" this week.

i had a VIP pass to the taping of Farmclub.com. This was my second time going. I went the otner time they were there, but the last time I only met Tony and Adrian. But this time I got to hang out in there dressing room and I took pictures with the whole gang, including one with Gavin Rossdale in the pic with me and Tom. I also got to hold the purple pants that Gwen was gonna wear to the taping. Everyone was nice especially Tom. Oh yeah and also Macy Gray was in there talking with Gavin. Isn't that random? Billie Joe's kid (the singer for Green Day) was playing with Gwen. Isn't that cool? Well I got my pictures with them, and got them to sign my CD and a poster I have of them. I also got to meet Green Day, Incubus, Eve 6, Mandy Moore, and Slater from Saved by the Bell, but since this is the NDIFC, I won't go into detail with that. In closing, No Doubt only performed Bathwater, but it was GREAT!

ON SUNDAY NIGHT ON MY LOCAL RADIO STATION Y 100 THEY PICK UP THAT "MODERN ROCK LIVE." AND AS WE KNOW NO DOUBT'S GWEN AND TOM WERE ON. I CALLED NOT THINKING THAT I WOULD GET THROUGH (BECAUSE I TRY ALL THE TIME WHEN THEY ARE ON BUT OF COURSE I NEVER GET THROUGH). BUT I DID I WAS SO EXCITED THAT WHEN I GOT THROUGH THAT I FORGOT MY ?. BUT THEN I REMEMBERED MY ? AND ABOUT A HALF HOUR LATER I WAS ON THE SHOW. I WAS SO EXCITED I WAS SHAKING SO BAD AND WHEN I GOT ON I STARTED TO CRY. YES I AM THE NERD THAT BEGAN TO CRY. BUT HEY I LOVE THEM SO MUCH THAT I FIGURE LET MYSELF CRY WHO CARES. MY ? WAS "OUT OF NO DOUBT WHO HAS THE WEIRDEST HABITS?" SO THAT IS MY STORY. THANKS FOR READING. KEEP THE NO DOUBT PRIDE!

Also I find a book in the libery called : GRRLS - Jonge vrouwen in de jaren negentig. In been writen by Sanderijn Cels. It`s a dutch book. On the end of the index-intro of the booked standing a few lyrics of Just A Girl from No Doubt - Page 16 (the lyrics part-Cause I`m Just A Girl, to I`ve had it up to here!). Then in the third section called : Dynasty en Emancipatie, you can found on Page 54, the lyrics of Hey You from No Doubt. (the lyrics part of Ken and Barbie doll). Then on the end of the booked you can found the bron of it : `No Doubt`, Tragic Kingdom, Interscope Records 1995.(in total 200 pages big).

Last Night (sunday the 27th) Gwen and Tom were on Modern Rock Live, an american Radio Show that only airs on certain stations. On The Station I was listening to it was on from 10:30-12:00 ET at night. Just thought i'd share.

On todays mtv (europe) news they showed an interview with the Black Eyed Peas, on the interview they were talking about Gwen and how she is a real singer that has good influence on her audience, they also praised the lyrics of the songs saying its not like all those "I hate men" songs.
