New No Doubt book to be published
Some time ago, the NDIFC got contacted by an australian author named Jeff Apter. He wanted to write a book about No Doubt / Gwen Stefani and that´s exactly what he did.

He showed us some of his previous work, and we forwarded his request to the band and their management. Then everything started rolling as he interviewed numerous former band members, close friends and peers, record producers and former managers. And now everything is pretty much done.

The title is:

Simple Kind of Life:The No Doubt / Gwen Stefani Story

The book has been closely read by all the members of the band and their management and the author would like to take the oppertunity to thank everyone who has participated to make this happend.

The book will be available in the UK in July with a US and Australian publication soon after. The NDIFC will feed you with more info as exact dates, cover images, etc, are available.

Two shows in Santa Barbara, CA have been added to The Sweet Escape Tour on June 26 & 27 at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Lady Sovereign will open both shows and tickets go on sale to the general public Saturday, March 31 at 11:00 AM Pacific.

20 YEAR ND
No Doubt`s 1st at Fender`s Ballroom in Long Beach. on March 14, 1987. Today it`s been exactly 20 YEAR !!!!! That No Doubt gave there 1st official show.

No Doubt excited at the time out : John Spence (+1987) vocal, Gwen Stefani (vocal) and Eric Stefani keyboard. In crowd stood Tony Kanal. Who joined No Doubt the show after this one.

Best Albums
No Doubt`s Tragic Kingdom reached #120 on there best album list.

Recording Next Year New Album
"Hello everybody. I would like to let you know that I am playing drums with my brother's band Mo Bigsley at the Slide Bar in Fullerton on Wed. March 7 at 9 pm. there is no cover charge. Also, I am playing with Dilana at Long Beach arena tomorrow at 8pm. I hope everyone is good.

Ok here it goes. Things are good with the band. We are working on new material and will continue to so for the rest of the year, and then start recording at the beginning of next year.

[Gwen] said that The Sweet Escape had more melodies which is more like No Doubt. no, i don't anticipate that the new No Doubt stuff will sound like The Sweet Escape."

Gwen Stefani Comfirns No Doubt Aalbum
Gwen Stefani insists she couldn't care less about criticism of her yodelling track "Wind It Up" - because it's her favourite piece of work.

The song garnered a negative response from some fans and critics because it sampled "The Lonely Goatherd" from Stefani's favourite movie, The Sound Of Music. But she loves how different it is.

The singer explains, "I knew some people wouldn't get it but I think I am enough down the line to not care.

"The people that did get it are Sound Of Music fans and really got a lot of pleasure from it.

"When Pharrell (Williams) and I first wrote it, it didn't have the sample in it. Then I went to my first big New York L.A.M.B. fashion show and DJ Jeremy Healy did a mash-up for me with it in. When I first heard it I nearly cried.

"I still think it's brilliant and I stand by it. Why can't you do something weird for a while? These songs are all about having fun, silly records that are to be enjoyed and not taken too seriously."
