Stefani Sports soccer shirt

Pop diva Gwen Stefani flew the flag for Scotland at a recent gig by performing onstage in the nation's soccer shirt. "The Sweet Escape" hitmaker embraced husband Gavin Rossdale's Scottish roots by wearing the blue and white strip at a Glasgow concert on Thursday night. The singer is also experimenting with Scottish cuisine and regularly feeds her son Kingston, one, the delicacy Black Pudding. She says, "He loved it."

Gwen loses trainer of 12 years

Gwen was embracing all things Scottish last night - from blood pudding to a new Scotland strip, which she was proudly sporting by the end of the evening.

She admitted that the Glasgow crowd was "deliciously cute up close" and with her Orange County pedigree that was a compliment indeed.

Dedicating the No Doubt encore to her son Kingston (a quarter Scottish, don't you know) which she sang beautifully with a soulful female band member, there was really only one thing left for her to do, as "What You Waiting For?" truly brought the house down. Hope you make a sweet return soon, Gwen. Saying goodbye to her wee Scottish personal trainer of 12 years, who was leaving the tour after this performance, actually did seem to have the platinum-haired songstress all shook up.

Marjorie Clarke to work with Gwens hair

Mount Pearl-based hairstylist Marjorie Clarke is still reeling from being invited to work on the hairstyles of some of the world's most famous artists, including platinum-haired pop and fashion icon Gwen Stefani.

Clarke spent Sept. 4-13 in the Big Apple working side-by-side with Stefani's personal hairstylist, Danilo, preparing the star and dozens of other models for the catwalk during New York Fashion Week.

She accepted the invitation and worked on several shows, including the Gwen Stefani show where she created wigs for Stefani models, but she didn't get an opportunity to meet the star in person.

When she was invited to the show this year, Clarke accepted and got to work side-by-side with Danilo on Stefani's hair before the star took to the red carpet to debut her L.A.M.B. collection.

"Gwen was there with her child (Kingston) and her husband, Gavin (Rossdale). She was just like everybody else backstage. She has a very calm demeanour," Clarke said.

"She told us we were doing a fabulous job and we said thank you. It was a professional thing and we were concentrating on our job."

After her work was finished, Clarke also had an opportunity to sit in the audience and watch the show.

"When I looked in the front row, there was Ivana Trump, Martha Stewart, Lucy Liu, Vinnie Moore, Bette Midler and P. Diddy. It was at that moment that I realized what I'm doing behind the scenes is absolutely huge," she said.

Gwen has passed the 10 million albums sold mark

In her solo career she has now sold over 10 million albums...6.5+ million of LAMB, and 3.5+ million of TSE so far, will probably end up around 4.5 million. LAMB has shipped over 7 million...probably around 7.5...but has sold a somewhere around 6.5 million by best estimates, although worldwide totals are always sketchy.

TSE has sold around 3.5 and has shipped well over 4 million, worldwide.

The reason why TSE haven´t sold more is beacuse it´s still selling. Secondly, other than TSE, its singles have been moderate hits but not huge. Thirdly, album sales are down about 25% since LAMB came out. And most importantly, while outside the United States TSE has done basically as well as LAMB did, in the United States LAMB has performed much better than TSE, which makes up for basically the entire sales differential between the two albums.

The statistics also include legal downloads of full albums.

L.A.M.B. Fashion Show Invite

There is a site that has posted all of the invites for Oympus Fashion Week coming soon, including L.A.M.B.'s. It features a blue and red bullseye design with the logo in the middle.

"It´s that time of year again: NYC´s style tribes are gearing up for Fashion Week, which officially kicks off at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5th. Gwen Stefani´s invite for L.A.M.B. featured a bulls-eyed lamb in the shape of an lp (that?s short for long-playing vinyl record, for those of you who came up in the Digital Age), in a subtle nod to her other career."
