Due some problems I lacked some news lately. But better late then never. Happy Birthday to Tony Kanal & Adrian Young.

No Doubt has added a show in Singapore! The band will be headlining the second night of F1 Rocks on September 25th. Other performers over the three day festival include Beyonce, ZZ Top, N*E*R*D, the Black Eyed Peas and Simple Minds. We’re deeply saddened by Allen’s passing.  It’s a difficult moment but we take comfort in remembering how much he loved being in Lit, loved being a drummer and that he saw his rock’n’roll dreams come true.  Our thoughts are with his family, bandmates and loved ones.

A new No Doubt compilation is released witch makes from 2 seperate albums 1. It contains Tragic Kingdom & Rock Steady. As fans notice the album in between (Return of Saturn) isn`t present. The compilation does contain 2 cds and it`s released this year.

WHAT UP!

I have to apologize for simply not feeling up to the LJ job lately. I felt a bit uninspired every time I pulled up the "post" page. But I'm back for the attack... feeling good about this one. Let's discuss a few different things today!

The past week of tour has been absolutely nuts. So many photo shoots, interviews... not to mention the video shoot yesterday. We are so worn out and I seriously feel like a zombie. A real life zombie. This morning (or afternoon) I woke up. Dressed myself. Walked to catering and ate something I can't even remember. Then I walked straight back to the bus and I'm already completely winded. We need a day off! Soon enough. Either way, the hard work is worth it and we're just getting into the groove of making sure the world knows we got a record coming out. (September 29th seems so far away).

Besides all of that. This tour is not far from being over. I'm officially a No Doubter now and stoked that for the rest of my life I'll be able to say that Paramore toured with one of the biggest bands of our generation. I can't believe it. We've been treated super well and made a lot of new friends. Not to mention gained a heck of a lot of fans. The meet and greets have been so much fun... and the shows are all insane. Every one of them feels huge (probably because they are). But really, for the first time ever, I get kind of emotional when I hear the crowds screaming and cheering for us as we go through our set. We've made it to this point and if it all ended tomorrow I'd barely believe that it even happened. Feels like one of those dreams you never ever want to wake up from. Our tour this fall should rule too. We can't wait to be up close and personal with you guys. Have the dates even been released yet? Let's get this thing going!

Speaking of No Doubt... I really thought that we'd been getting less comparisons to them than normal... until this whole "Paramore Or Less" article came out. What a waste of paper and ink. Or hard drive space. Whichever. Guys, Paramore isn't going anywhere. Just because I do some random thing for a movie doesn't mean that I'm getting ready to hire some chicas to come dance behind me and start chanting "this shhh is bananas". So, I don't wanna see you guys worrying your heads about this... even though the media might want you to. It's a story that sells, I'm sure. But YOU don't be the ones to buy it.

Hometown shows are always special. Our friends and family and oldest fans are all in the audience and therefore we're motivated to try just a little bit harder. Irvine Meadows Amphitheater (Verizon now) is a place where I have quite a history. I grew up in Irvine (this is in Orange County a few miles south of Anaheim) and when I was 16 years old I got a job there working in the concession stands. I worked there every summer for about 4 or 5 years, it was great because I loved music and I got in to all the shows free (after I got off work). It's a big memory for me and it's literally a dream come true to play there. So this weekend is going to be a big deal for me, and also of course for the rest of the band. See you there!

Here are the instructions for picking up your tickets for the Concord show at Sleep Train Pavilion on July 21st. Please reference the attached map of the venue’s grounds - you should enter the main parking lot from Kirker Pass Road and park in the main lots. You will then go to the VIP entrance (as marked by the red ‘x’ on the left edge of map).  

We are planning to open the tour club doors as early as 6pm. We strongly urge everyone to get to the venue early to avoid any backup - we don't want you to miss any of the performances.  The Tour Club representative at the ticketing table will have your tickets, sticker, magnet and iron-on.  You MUST have your photo ID with you that matches the account name used to order your tickets.

Please note that you will enter the venue immediately upon picking up your tickets so you will need to make sure all your guests are with you. Once you get your tickets, you will be in the venue and re-entry will not be allowed. Again, your whole party must be with you at the time you pick up your tickets.
